A warm welcome to you as a new patient, on your first appointment with us our Podiatrists will take time to listen to any concerns you may have about your feet and lower limb health . We then check the health of your feet, we do this by checking your vascular ( foot pulses ) and neurological (nerve supply ) health we do this to check for any underlying health conditions you may have. We look and assess your skin and toenails to check for infections and areas of callus and corns. Once we have assessed your feet and we have listened to your concerns we can then start your treatment. All patients at our Kettering foot clinic are assessed on an individual basis and so the treatment can vary slightly, this ensures each and every patient gets the right treatment and advice based on their own concerns. Your toenails will be cut and filed, Hard skin and corns will be gently removed and smoothed ,The treatment is normally completed with the application flexitol 10% moisturising foot cream. Our HCPC Registered Podiatrists will provide you with a personalised treatment plan and advice on how to keep your feet healthy and in optimal condition. Sometimes your complaint can be resolved in one treatment however there are occasions when you may need to attend the clinic on a routine basis to manage your symptoms. How long does a routine podiatry treatment take? For new patients this appointment is 45 minuets, this treatment time with our podiatrists should allow for all your podiatry needs to be addressed. We recommended if you have diabetes or struggle to look after feet that you see a podiatrist every 6 weeks.
